Creative Response Winners

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let you know the results of the vote on creative responses. I have to say that like the blog, I was very favorably impressed with the range of responses and how much everyone put into this project. One of the best things that can happen, as a teacher, is to get a class that really seems to engage. You all make me happy that way.

The interesting thing about the vote on creative responses was that there were no clear losers--just about everyone got at least one vote (which doesn't normally happen.) Two of the winners were "clear" winners. I had to weigh in on the third and fourth ones, because I am only supposed to submit three names and there was a 5-way tie for that third spot. All that being said, here, in no order what-so-ever (no, I'm not going to tell you which ones were clear winners and which ones had to go to the judge) are your winners: Jillian, Jaquinna, Maura, and Emily. (I will need each of you to sign a permission slip for me if it's ok to submit your work for consideration for the gift certificate.) Once again, though, thanks to EVERYONE for doing such a great job.
