"If he'd have been a denstist, he'd have been somebody"

Anyone can have a career. It is the individuals use these careers to further their dreams that change the world. Individuals such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Ambassador Andrew Young. These two individuals did not know how to "limit" themselves, allowing an undisputable impact on the world. It is so important to hear the words of Mr. Young as he spoke to the decisions and evolution of our country, both in the 6o's when he worked with Dr. King and in the present time as America continues to further its occupancy in Iraq. It is amazing that 40 some odd years after the assassination of Dr. King, proponents of the civil rights activists continue to valiently fight for the same plights of non-violent protest and equality. These issues that are the very essence of Dr. King's mission are clearly still in the process of being implemented in the way the United States interacts with the U.N. and the rest of the world. Ambassador Young strives on, educating and critisicing the way this country and its people think about the ideas of democracy and equality. There is a way to promote the well being of every citizen of the world, but it does not have to be solved by invasion and war. Too many people have already died for a cause that could have been solved by non-violence and honesty; unfortunately, many more will die still before it is all over. Through many different projects and ventures, Ambassador Young has continually held firm to his own beliefs and those of the late Dr. King. These issues will never be stricken from his to-do list. His message is one of possibility and consistency, the very essence of rhetorical success. He uses logic, status and emotions not only because that is what a good rhetorician uses, but because his character is made up of all three things. These key elements make up a human who has been there and done that; someone who has been living his dream for decades and therefore has the words to say that make people want to join with him in his fights or at least challenge their own belief system. Mr. Young believes that he can change the world and that no man, woman or child should be denied the same belief. His dad wanted him to be a dentist and no doubt he would have used his strength and character to be the best dentist he could be; instead he heard another call, one of responsibility, possibilities and inevitable hardship and he will continue to pursue this path until the ideals of Martin King, Andrew Young and thousands others have been accomplished.
