Kevin in Kid Simple
Hey gang,
I went to see Kid Simple tonight with our own Kevin as the star! To be honest, this was the first play that I have ever gone to at the Brooks Center. (I know what you might be thinking.... you're so uncultured and missed some great stuff). I will admit, I have a fear of drama... usually because I'm afraid that I won't understand it or it will be way over my head. I guess you could say that I have had some bad experiences with drama and attending plays. I did show choir in high school, so I am not afraid of being on stage. I guess I just get confused or easily distracted while watching other people on stage. Okay, enough about me... now back to Kid Simple.
And the word Simple: it was simple for me to understand the plot of this one. Not only was it simple to follow, it was fun to watch. The play made me think a couple of times, but I found myself at a point of reflection and intraspection. Also, Kid Simple was pretty funny from the jokes, to the sound effects performed by Betsy Harper, to the music. I would definitely suggest going to check it out sometime today (shows are at 3pm and 8pm on Saturday). I really enjoyed this because it got me to think outside of the box and to experience some of the great displays of art here on Clemson's campus. Again to Kevin, a job well done!
